Catherine James was born in Oklahoma City, and grew up in the nearby suburb of Bethany. She was the first person in her family to attend a university, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma. She currently lives in Tulsa where she's spent more than 6 years honing her skills in TV News, on and off the camera.

Cat is skilled in capturing moments with photos and video, building graphics, and putting it all together in the edit, winning multiple awards. She's a talented and empathetic storyteller who aims for the heart. Her favorite part of being a journalist has always been giving a voice to the voiceless.

When she's not working, Cat takes care of her adult daughter, Audrey, who was born with special needs.

Cat also loves to travel and has been to 15 states so far, including CA, CO, FL, LA, and of course, NYC. Whether it's navigating lower Manhattan or Arches National Park, she always enjoys an adventure.
